The Merrell Tsitsikamma MTB race and trail run was established in 2012 and is prominent event on the local MTB and trail running calendar. It is perfectly situated in Tsitsikamma to draw riders from both the Eastern and Southern Cape.

Offering cyclists and runners not only a test of skill, but also breath-taking views from rugged cliffs high above the raging ocean. This is a professional event for the serious riders, but also a family orientated event where not only mom and dad can participate, but also the little ones who are small in size but big in heart.

VENUE: The races start at finish at Edge Equip which is located in Greenside Tsitsikamma.

Cycling SA enforces minimum age restrictions based on race distances for all sanctioned MTB events.

To avoid disappointment at registration, please only select a race distance that you are allowed to participate in.

Your age is based on the age you will be on 31 December of that year.

• 60km E-bikes: 19 years +
• 40km E-bikes: 19 years +
• 40km: 14 years +
• 19km: 8 years +
• 30km Trail Run: 18 years +
• 19km Trail Run: 16 years +
• 12km Trail Run: All ages
• 6km Trail Run: All ages
