Voets Toets Hiking braved the icy weather and set out to Remhoogte Mountain Lodge for another adventure. It's a working farm situated in Skeerpoort close to Harties Dam.

Route:
We rate this trail as moderate to difficult. Good fitness levels are required to complete this trail. Our journey started with a long stretch of road towards the Magaliesburg mountain range. We were lucky to have spotted giraffes and an assortment of buck en route on the farm next door.

The trail is used by trail runners and advanced hikers, so Merrell shoes and a good hiking stick are a must! A small medical bag with medical essentials always comes in handy if you get nicks and cuts on your walk. It's a challenging trail, so safety is of utmost importance. Take your time and rest often.

The vulture trail is truly beautiful and well worth the effort! The farm has a restaurant called "The Farm Shed" with delicious food on offer. There is accommodation, braai facilities, and a pool available should you want to make a day of it.
