Life is about celebrating many moments, and for Must Love Hiking, we chose the breathtaking venue, Kloofzicht Lodge And Spa to do just that. 51 hikers came along to participate in this easy to moderate hike of just over 5.5km.
This venue usually only allows up to 20 hikers at a time excluding their lodge guests, but they were gracious to allow us to push them to over 50 hikers. The staff at this venue are amazing and made us feel special. Upon arrival of our large group, there was a table set out with complimentary water, a map and an indemnity form to complete.
The trail starts at the lodge and continues past two dams, passing a watering hole and lapa before returning to the lodge.
Our Merrell footwear was so appreciated, as there are uneven parts of the trail where you need to carefully navigate through. Our recce team all opted for the Erie Mid Leather Waterproof hiking boot. Our hikers have different Merrell footwear which they testify to the comfort as well.
If you are planning to take hiking seriously, the first two items to obtain is good hiking socks and the correct footwear for your feet.
